Romaji: Sumimasen, kochira no mizu wa dono yō ni tsukau no desu ka? / Reply Romaji: Te to kuchi o kiyomemasu. Hishaku de mizu o kunde, mazu hidarite, tsugi ni migite o arai, saigo ni kuchi o susugimasu.

手と口を清めます。柄杓で水を汲んで、まず左手、次に右手を洗い、最後に口をすすぎます。
てとくちをきよめます。ひしゃくでみずをくんで、まずひだりて、つぎにみぎてをあらい、さいごにくちをすすぎます。
You purify your hands and mouth. Scoop water with the ladle, first wash your left hand, then your right hand, and finally rinse your mouth.
Gesture & etiquette
Point at the temizuya, then demonstrate the actions.
Do not drink the water directly from the ladle or put the ladle directly to your mouth. Do not let the water from your hands or mouth fall back into the basin.
