Hold out your phone with the shop name, or point generally in the direction you think it might be.
If the shop is very niche, the person you ask might not know it. Be prepared to show the name written down or on your phone. Directions might be complex, so having a map app open is helpful. Locals are generally very helpful, even if they don't know.
