Gesture & etiquette
A slight bow, or a gesture of being cold (shivering lightly).
Be polite and use "sumimasen" (excuse me/sorry) or "mōshiwake arimasen ga" (I'm terribly sorry but). Avoid demanding or pointing directly at the AC unit.
