If it's a size that can be covered with a sticker, it's not a problem.
Gesture & etiquette
Point vaguely to the area of the tattoo if comfortable, or make a 'covering' gesture.
Do not attempt to enter if explicitly forbidden. Some places have zero-tolerance policies regardless of size. Be prepared to be denied entry.
