Gesture & etiquette
Look around the store generally while asking. If pointed to a direction, nod and go there.
Some convenience stores (especially smaller ones or specific chains) might not carry them. Be prepared for a negative answer and ask for directions to a larger electronics store if needed (e.g., '近くに電気屋さんがありますか？' - Chikai ni denki-ya-san ga arimasu ka?).
