Using 'おっしゃる' (honorific for 'to say') instead of plain 'いう' shows proper respect to superiors. In Japanese meetings, voicing clear agreement builds group harmony (和). However, follow up with a concrete comment rather than staying silent — pure agreement without substance can seem passive.
