Gesture & etiquette
Stand at entrance with welcoming posture. Bow 30 degrees on 「ありがとうございます」. Take luggage with both hands, characters/handle facing them so they see how you'll carry. Smile, offer arm support if frail.
Short-stay (ショートステイ) is temporary stay (1-30 days) at care facility, often for family respite or post-hospital transition. Greet warmly to ease anxiety—the resident may be displaced from home. Take luggage with care, check what's inside (medications, comfort items). Brief facility tour follows.
