I don't know how to use the Japanese-style (squat) toilet.

Bow slightly, maintain a helpful posture with hands clasped in front, and use an open-palm gesture to indicate the direction of the alternative restroom.
Do not laugh or act surprised by the guest's lack of knowledge. Ensure you do not point directly at the toilet in an overly casual manner.
