Gesture & etiquette
Sit comfortably at the same eye level. Soft, open expression. If they smile remembering, smile with them. If they pause emotionally, sit quietly with them — don't rush to fill silence. Genuine listening is the gift.
Pet memories evoke warmth and often unlock unexpected stories. Use the broad 'doubutsu' (animals) rather than specific 'inu/neko' (dog/cat) to let them choose what to share.
