Lay the furoshiki flat on a clean surface; center the item diagonally; fold and knot neatly following a basic pattern; the decorative knot should sit on top as an intentional presentation element; hand over with both hands and a slight bow.
Furoshiki (風呂敷) is Japan's traditional cloth wrapping — an eco-friendly, elegant alternative to paper bags. A well-wrapped furoshiki is considered part of the gift itself.
