Romaji: Onsen wa hajimete desu. Irikata no manaa wo oshiete itadakemasu ka? / Reply Romaji: Mazu karada wo shawaa de aratte kara, yubune ni haitte kudasai. Taoru wa yubune ni irenaide kudasai ne.

まず体をシャワーで洗ってから、湯船に入ってください。タオルは湯船に入れないでくださいね。
まずからだをしゃわーであらってから、ゆぶねにはいってください。たおるはゆぶねにいれないでくださいね。
First wash your body at the shower, then enter the hot spring. Please don't put your towel in the bath.
Gesture & etiquette
Ask staff or host before entering; show a genuinely respectful and curious demeanor; being proactive about asking for guidance is considered thoughtful — it shows you take the cultural experience seriously.
At onsen and sento, the key rules are: wash thoroughly at the shower before entering the communal bath; do NOT bring towels into the hot spring; do NOT talk loudly; do NOT shave in the bath — following these shows respect for all bathers and the cultural space.
