Gesture & etiquette

Stand if reporting in person. Bow slightly at 15 degrees. Keep the report brief — 'completed, no issues' is all that is needed unless the superior asks for detail. Wait to be dismissed rather than turning and leaving immediately.

In hourenso culture, reporting completion is just as obligatory as reporting problems. 'Buji ni' (safely / without incident) is a reassuring word that also signals no unexpected complications arose. Completing the loop gives the superior confidence and closure.
