Open with 「ご報告いたします」as a verbal signal that important information follows. Approach at an appropriate time — not when the superior is mid-task or on a call. Bow slightly when speaking and maintain calm confidence.
In Japanese 報・連・相 (horenso) culture, completing a task without proactively reporting it is considered unprofessional. Always report completion to your direct superior and, if applicable, send a written email summary. Requesting confirmation shows thoroughness rather than presuming automatic acceptance.
