楽しみですね。能を見るのは初めてです。
たのしみですね。のうをみるのははじめてです。
I am looking forward to it. This is my first time seeing Noh.
Gesture & etiquette
Bow slightly toward the stage before sitting. Silent throughout the performance — no clapping during scenes, only at the very end. Phones strictly off, not silent. Lean forward attentively but do not whisper.
能 (Noh) has roughly 200 plays grouped into five categories (五番立). 『羽衣』 (Hagoromo, 'feather robe') is a third-category piece featuring a kazura-no (wig piece, a tennyo heavenly maiden). Newcomer-friendly openers: 翁 (Okina), 高砂 (Takasago, wedding-auspicious), 羽衣 (Hagoromo, accessible). Skip deep ones like 道成寺 for first viewing.
