The seal has meaning too, huh.
Gesture & etiquette
Mime the stamping motion — pick up seal with thumb-index-middle, press into red ink pad, position carefully, press firmly to paper, lift cleanly without rocking. The placement and pressure carry the artist's intent.
書道 (shodou) 落款 (rakkan, artist's seal) goes lower-left after the signature, in bright red 朱肉 (shuniku) ink. Three common types: 引首印 (top-right opener), 姓名印 (artist's real name, lower-left), 雅号印 (artistic name). Without rakkan, even masterful calligraphy is considered unfinished. The seal asserts authorship and aesthetic identity.
