Stand beside the intern facing the team. Sweep gaze across the room. Slight bow (15°). Step aside to give the intern space to introduce themselves next.
Intern introduction by mentor/manager at morning meeting. Use the intern's first day to set tone: '〜していただきます' (humble form of 'will participate') signals respect. Have them say a few words after the introduction. Pair them with a buddy. Quick lunch on day 1 builds team integration.
