Announce upon entering the office area (not just at your desk). Bow about 15 degrees on 「ただいま戻りました」. Set down luggage out of pathway. If carrying omiyage, place on a central table with a small note: 「◯◯出張のお土産です。よろしければどうぞ。」.
Standard 'I'm back' greeting upon returning to the office. 「ただいま戻りました」 announces presence and triggers 「お帰りなさい」 from colleagues. Always thank the team that covered your work, even briefly. Bring small omiyage (regional snacks) from the trip destination; distribute personally with both hands.
