Romaji: Sumimasen, kono omizu wa dono yō ni tsukau no desu ka? / Reply Romaji: Te to kuchi o kiyomeru basho desu. Mazu migite o kiyome, tsugi ni hidarite, sore kara kuchi o susugimasu.

Gesture & etiquette
Point to the temizuya (water basin).
Do not drink directly from the ladle or spit water back into the basin. Only use a small amount to rinse your mouth and spit it next to the basin, not into it. Do not let the used ladle touch the water source.
