I have a small tattoo. Could you tell me if I can enter the public bath, or if there's a private bath available?
Romaji: Chiisana tatū ga aru no desu ga, yu ni haireru ka, kashikiriburo ga aru ka oshiete itadakemasu ka? / Reply Romaji: Chiisana tatū deshitara, bansōkō nado de kakushite itadakereba daiyokujō mo go-riyō itadakemasu. Mata, kashikiriburo mo gozaimasu.

小さなタトゥーでしたら、絆創膏などで隠していただければ大浴場もご利用いただけます。また、貸し切り風呂もございます。
ちいさなタトゥーでしたら、ばんそうこうなどでかくしていただければだいよくじょうもごりよういただけます。また、かしきりぶろもございます。
If it's a small tattoo, you can use the main public bath if you cover it with a bandage, etc. We also have private baths.
Gesture & etiquette
Slight bow when asking. Point to arm/area where tattoo is (subtly).
Do not assume all tattoos are fine. Always ask politely. Do not enter without permission if you have tattoos.
