Gesture & etiquette
Position yourself on the side they will roll TOWARD. Use both hands — one on shoulder, one on hip. Roll in one smooth motion on a count of 3. Place a pillow behind their back to maintain position. Watch their face throughout.
Repositioning (体位交換) prevents pressure injuries and is done every two hours for bedridden seniors. Always pre-announce the action — never silent handling. Move slowly, place hands respectfully on shoulder and hip, avoid intimate areas. Check for skin redness during the turn (early pressure-injury sign). Stop immediately if they wince.
