Gesture & etiquette
Place glass on stable side table within easy arm's reach (not too close to bed edge). Hand the medication cup separately. Stay until they take the medication. Refill water if needed for next dose.
Medication water — always place fresh room-temperature water within easy reach. Never use cold or hot water (can affect some medications). Standard glass with ~150ml is appropriate. Place on a stable surface, away from the bed edge. Watch them swallow medications — never leave pills with unsupervised seniors who may forget or accidentally double-dose.
