Gesture & etiquette
Stand on the side they'll turn toward. Place one hand on shoulder, one on hip. Count '一、二、三' for synchronized motion. Smooth, gentle pull—never force. Place support pillow at back/between knees. Check skin condition visually before pulling blanket up.
Position change for bedridden residents. Critical for preventing pressure injuries (褥瘡 jokuso). Standard interval: every 2 hours. Explain reason ('comfort') not clinical ('prevent bedsores'). Have a pillow ready to support new position. Two-person assist for heavy residents. Always check the back/buttocks for skin condition during the turn.
