Gesture & etiquette
Place medications in a small cup at eye level on a stable surface. Stay nearby without hovering. Keep a glass of water ready at the same level. Make eye contact and nod slowly as the senior takes each tablet.
Always place medications where the senior can clearly see them, and confirm by name if possible. The word 'yukkuri' (slowly) is reassuring — it removes any sense of being rushed and reduces the risk of choking.
