Gesture & etiquette

Present with both hands, text facing the recipient, with a 15-degree bow. If junior, present before your senior. Accept the other's card with both hands and read it carefully before placing it respectfully on the table in front of you.

When presenting a business card (名刺 meishi), always offer with both hands, card facing the recipient so they can read it immediately. Bow slightly as you present. Your card represents you as a professional — a bent, dirty, or hand-written card signals carelessness. Prepare cards in advance and never run out in an important meeting.
