It's time for rehabilitation. It'll take some effort, but let's work through it together.

Alright. I'll give it a try.
Gesture & etiquette
Arrive at their room or seat with a warm, energetic (but not over-the-top) smile. Stand ready to assist immediately rather than giving instructions from a distance. Visually demonstrate any exercises yourself first where appropriate. Celebrate small achievements during the session: 'Jouzu desu!' (Well done!) or 'Sugoii, dekimashita ne!' (Amazing, you did it!).
Rehabilitation sessions can feel intimidating or exhausting for seniors. Acknowledging the effort required ('ganbari dokoro' — a place that calls for effort) rather than minimizing it builds trust and shows respect for what they are going through. The 'issho ni' (together) framing transforms it from a solo challenge into a shared endeavor.
