Gesture & etiquette
Bow slightly at the end of the presentation before opening to questions. Stand in place and maintain steady eye contact with the room — do not immediately step aside or pack up materials, as this signals you welcome dialogue.
「以上です」(that is all) is the standard Japanese presentation closer. Adding the invitation for questions (「ご質問、ご意見がございましたら…」) is essential — ending without this invitation can feel abrupt and suggests the presenter is not open to dialogue.
