Gesture & etiquette
Speak quietly, private setting. Demonstrate cup placement if needed (no shame in being too clear). Step out of bathroom and close door for privacy. Return promptly with verbal acknowledgment: 「ありがとうございます、お預かりします」.
Urine sample request. 「お小水」 is more dignified than 「おしっこ」 or 「尿」. Use 「お預かりする」 (humbly receive temporarily) framing, never 「もらう」. Explain reason ('検査のため') so they understand purpose. Provide private space, labeled cup, and clear instructions. Hand container with both hands; receive back in same way.
