Gesture & etiquette
Wash hands visibly first. Approach from the side that minimizes their movement. Lift dressing slowly, support skin around wound with gloved fingers. Observe quietly—do not gasp or grimace. Replace dressing with smooth motion. Report findings calmly: 「今日はお変わりないようですね」.
Wound check. 「お傷」 with お prefix gentles 'wound'. Reassure that they don't need to move (movement may cause pain). Observe for: redness, swelling, discharge, surrounding skin condition, scent. Document precisely without showing alarm. Replace dressing carefully if scheduled.
