Romaji: Ano, sumimasen. Chiisana tatū ga aru no desu ga, nyūyoku wa kanō deshō ka? / Reply Romaji: Chiisai mono deshitara, hoka no okyakusama ni go-hairyo itadakereba daijōbu desu. Kakushite hairareru kata mo irasshaimasu yo.

小さいものでしたら、他のお客様にご配慮いただければ大丈夫です。隠して入られる方もいらっしゃいますよ。
ちいさいものでしたら、ほかのおきゃくさまにごはいりょいただければだいじょうぶです。かくしてはいられるかたもいらっしゃいますよ。
If it's a small one, it's fine if you are considerate of other customers. Some people also cover them up when entering.
Gesture & etiquette
A slight, polite bow. You can discreetly gesture to the area where the tattoo is located, without actually exposing it.
Be discreet and polite. Be prepared for a 'no'. Do not argue if tattoos are prohibited. If allowed, cover visible tattoos where possible out of respect for local customs, even if not explicitly required.
