Romaji: Sumimasen, irezumi ga aru no desu ga, nyūyoku kanō na yokujō wa gozaimasu ka? / Reply Romaji: Mōshiwake gozaimasen. Tōkan de wa tatū no okyaku-sama wa go-enryo itadaite orimasu. Kashikiri-buro deshitara kanō desu.

Point to your arm or another visible area with a tattoo, or just gesture generally with an open palm.
Do not argue or become aggressive if denied entry. Respect local customs and regulations. Be prepared for refusal.
