Romaji: Sumimasen, chiisana tatū ga aru no desu ga, nyūyoku dekimasu ka? (Arui wa, tatū kabā shīru de kakuseba hairemasu ka?) / Reply Romaji: Chiisana mono deshitara, hoka no okyakusama ni gohairyo itadakereba mondai gozaimasen. Kabā shīru de kakushite itadakereba kakujitsu desu.

小さなものでしたら、他のお客様にご配慮いただければ問題ございません。カバーシールで隠していただければ確実です。
ちいさなものでしたら、ほかのおきゃくさまにごはいりょいただければもんだいございません。カバーシールでかくしていただければかくじつです。
If it's a small one, there's no problem as long as you are considerate of other guests. It would be certain if you cover it with a cover sticker.
Gesture & etiquette
Subtly gesture towards the arm or area where a tattoo might be, or show a tattoo cover sticker if you have one.
Do not enter without asking if you have a visible tattoo. Always be polite and respect the onsen's rules. Tattoos often require covering or may prohibit entry.
