Gesture & etiquette
Hold up your hand towards the cashier, then point to yourself and then to your friends, then make a dividing motion. (But better to just ask politely).
Do not insist on splitting the bill if refused, as it can be considered rude. Offer to pay for your share with your friends afterwards.
