Romaji: Yukata wa dochira o ue ni shite kireba ii desu ka? / Reply Romaji: Hidarigawa o ue ni shite kudasai. Migigawa ga ue da to engi ga warui to sarete imasu.

左側を上にしてください。右側が上だと縁起が悪いとされています。
ひだりがわをうえにしてください。みぎがわがうえだとえんぎがわるいとされています。
Please put the left side on top. Putting the right side on top is considered bad luck (only for deceased).

Mimic the motion of wearing a yukata and then point to the sides of your body.
Always wear a yukata with the left side over the right. Wearing it right over left is exclusively for deceased persons and is considered a major faux pas.
