Gesture & etiquette
Polite bow, perhaps a gentle gesture towards the 'otoshi' if it's already served.
Some establishments do not allow changing or refusing the 'otoshi' as it's part of the cover charge. If it cannot be changed, politely accept or choose a different restaurant if it's a critical issue.
