Kneel down to the senior's eye level so you are not towering over them. Place one hand lightly on their shoulder or hand for grounding (do not restrain). Keep your voice low, slow, and steady — your calm becomes their calm.
In a fall or sudden illness, the senior's biggest fear is often shame, not pain. The closing 'anshin shite kudasai' is what makes this a care phrase rather than just a command. Never raise your voice or rush, even when internally rushing.
