Gesture & etiquette
This is an email phrase — no physical gesture. However, when writing, always include a blank line between the greeting, body, and closing sections. Japanese business emails follow strict structure: 宛先 → 挨拶 → 用件 → 結び。
「お世話になっております」is the standard Japanese business email opener — it has no perfect English translation but roughly means 'thank you for our ongoing relationship.' It is used even with total strangers in professional contexts. Omitting it can feel abrupt and informal in Japanese business writing.
