Gesture & etiquette
Email context — no gesture. In person, the new team member should bow first and then present their card. Include a short bio in the email (name, background, role) so the client can orient themselves to the new contact.
「弊社」(heisha — our humble company) is the formal way to refer to your own company in client-facing communication, as opposed to 「うちの会社」(informal) or 「当社」(slightly less humble). 「ご紹介申し上げます」uses the highest level of humble speech for introductions — appropriate for client-facing emails.
