Gesture & etiquette
This phrase is purely textual — used at the top of every business email. In person, it is said as a bow-accompanied greeting in the first sentence of a face-to-face business meeting.
「いつもお世話になっております」is the mandatory opening line for virtually every Japanese business email — even for first contact. It signals membership in the professional community and sets a respectful, collaborative tone. Skipping this line in a business email is immediately noticeable and feels abrupt.
